Upcoming Event Sep 12Vital Link

If you do not know about Vital Link, now is the time to discover an organization that is actively investing in the future workforce. Vital Link is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing students for future careers by connecting education with real-world industry experiences. Through hands-on programs, students are introduced to fields such as robotics, engineering, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, computer programming, digital media arts, drone technology, and entrepreneurship.

Vital Link especially transforms STEM education into something real and tangible — not only theory in a classroom, but experiences that students can see, touch, and imagine themselves being part of.

Across Orange County, students are stepping into engineering labs, advanced manufacturing facilities, robotics workshops, healthcare environments, and creative technology spaces that many never imagined they could access. These experiences help students build confidence, curiosity, and a stronger connection between education and future career opportunities.

Sometimes, a single conversation with an engineer, a company tour, or a visit to a laboratory can completely change the way a student sees their future and inspire the next generation of technology and innovation.

This year, Vital Link continues expanding its impact through engineering and manufacturing tours, robotics and electric vehicle programs, student showcases, career readiness workshops, and activities that connect students directly with professionals and local companies.

At OSSC, we believe supporting STEM education and workforce development is essential for the future of our community and industry. We encourage our members to learn more about Vital Link and consider supporting its mission through mentorship, outreach, volunteering, or industry partnerships. Investing in students today means investing in the future innovators, engineers, scientists, and leaders who will create the optics of tomorrow.
