Registration as a volunteer on this website allows free entrance and parking.
One of the OISC's most popular programs is its Annual Optricks Days organized with the help of many friends from the Optical Society of Southern California.  Starting with inspirations from Dr. Murty, the Wizard of Light, the Optricks Apprentices work their magic among the guests at the Discovery Science Center each year.  

In past years we have added presentations and workshops from the Hogwarts School of Optricks & Astronomy.  Dr. Murty & The Telescope Challenge

This year, as we continue to grow, we will feature a new Laser Graffiti hands-on demonstration and special Science Educational Laser Light Shows in honor of LaserFest - the 50th Anniversary of the Invention of the laser.
